Here at Point Blank we pride ourselves on delivering the best work experience opportunities for our students. By utilising the relationships we’ve built over the years and our outstanding reputation for our high calibre teaching, we have become the go-to institution for many companies who are looking for the best up-and-coming young talent for their job roles. Today is no exception as we are delighted to present this unique opportunity to work alongside the Instant Live team at the iconic Abbey Road studios.
Abbey Road studios’ instant live team record gigs and burn them to CD ‘instantly’ so fans can buy a CD of the show and take it home straight after the show has finished. They are currently recording the Boyzone 20th Anniversary tour across the UK, and will be working at London’s Wembley Arena on Saturday 21st December so require 5 live sound / sound engineering students to assist with general duties. Tasks will include putting up posters around the venue, handing out flyers and helping burn and pack CDs. There will also be the opportunity to visit their outside broadcast mixing truck, speak to the audio engineers and participate in a full Q&A session. This would suit music production and sound engineering students who have an interest in studio or live sound.
